Ramón Alejandro, n. 1943 Ramón Alejandro was born at the foot of the hill del Mazo in the Havana neighborhood of the Viper in 1943. His great-grandfather, grandfather and maternal uncles were painters, and although they tried every means to dissuade him from following in his footsteps, it was all in vain. At seventeen he toured the Southern Andes, Patagonia and Minas Gerais: a twenty years came to the Bay and then went to Europe, Morocco, Egypt, looking for paintings, sculptures and architectures that no reproduction allowed, in his view enjoy and understand satisfactorily. Sought to dominate the art of which was an urgent need to do their own work, recorded in metal for three years before attempting to paint. Articulated structures drills emerged representing celestial or infernal entities that were interpreted as torture machines. Meticulously drawn, passed like three-dimensional, floating in space.
